2012 Lexus HS250 h Quick Guide

The 2012 Lexus HS 250h is not exactly set the sales charts on fire, and with the arrival of the Lincoln MKZ Hybrid last year, losing the title as the luxury hybrid sedan with the highest gas mileage. Introduced as a 2010 model, using some parts from the iconic Toyota Prius hybrid, along with the larger 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine and hybrid systems such as those used in the Toyota Camry Hybrid. Have relatively less common, though, with the new Lexus CT 200h is a hybrid luxury hatchback, which is slightly smaller inside.

Blunt nose and cab-forward body gives a distinctive silhouette HS 250h, but it's nowhere near as slim as other Lexus sedan. Size-wise, the HS 250h is bigger than the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and Lexus IS, Lexus compact sport sedan, although it was about six inches shorter than the Lexus ES sedan soft.

Inside, the instrument panel has a futuristic design with a center stack that is squeezed out, which contains audio controls, climate, and infotainment. If the optional navigation system is included, the screen appears from the center of the dash. It is controlled with a remote Touch Lexus mouse controller on the console, which is more intuitive and simpler than many system control screen in other luxury brands - although it does not require the driver to focus on the screen, rather than the road, for a long time.

The 147-horsepower, 2.4-liter Atkinson cycle four-cylinder engine paired with Toyota's Hybrid Synergy Drive system, which uses a pair of electric motor generators that can run the car on electric power alone at low speeds. They also add additional torque to the engine, and recharge the nickel-metal hydride batteries to the engine overrun and regenerative braking. Maximum power between the engine and the motor is 187 hp. While the HS 250h is not slow, it's not tuned for sporty performance feel. The "power" mode makes it perkier (and "eco" mode bring it close to lethargy). It accelerates well in the critical range of 20 to 60 mph, and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 8.4 seconds - faster than the Prius, despite the heavy penalties £ 600.

Among the sedan Lexus, 2012 Lexus HS 250h may be the most sleek and beautiful. Its high cowl and slab sides combine with a long front and rear overhangs to give a chunky, high-end silhouette is quite different from the IS sport sedan or ES 350 mid-size family sedan. But some of the details make up the design, whether it leads to a winged headlamps follow the angle of the crease back to the waist line or the way the hood up to the windshield base.

The tail may be clear, the most elegant car, resembling a short version of the LS flagship large. Angle and curve of the rear pillar leads neatly into the rear, and the front windows that extend towards the small door of the attractive lines.

Nevertheless, the HS 250h manages drag coefficient is only 0.27, the grille bar is actually a solid surface to guide the air over the hood of the car. Covers an area of more than aerodynamic underbody more subtle, like a diffuser in the rear to separate the air stream as it leaves the car.
